Logic System at the Frankfurt show
Logic System returns to the 2009 Frankfurt Pro light & Sound show on the back of their best ever show in 2008. Following on from last years show, new export dealers were appointed in China, Indonesia, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and Singapore, leading to a staggering 200% increase in export turnover in 2008. That impetus has been carried over into 2009, so they enter the show with an air of optimism. They will be located in hall 8 on stand J18, and the show will be used to showcase the existing Ethos VA and CA live sound products, along with product from the ML and LM ranges.
New at the show will be the Nd115 bass enclosure. Designed principally as a bass option for use with the Ethos CA enclosures, the cabinet can be used as the basis of a pole mounted system or flown above a CA array. The cabinet features the same 1000w, long excursion, neodymium cone driver as its larger brother the Nd215. The product is designed to offer an option to the customer who requires less bass response, or a smaller physical footprint in an application such as theatre or Audio/Visual.
Also new to Frankfurt will be the production ready version of Ethos LA, which was previewed at PLASA 2008. The cabinet is a long throw module designed to be flown above the existing Ethos VA system to increase its projection range to the 100m region. The enclosure features four neodymium 8" mid/bass units and four waveguide mounted 1" exit compression drivers. The cabinet has 90 degree horizontal coverage and up to 5 degree vertical coverage, selected in 1 degree increments. Ethos LA can be used as a system in its own right, with Ethos VA as a downfill module, or existing VA users can add it to their portfolio to increase the functionality of original investment.
Manning the stand at Frankfurt will be Logic Founder Chris Scott, Logic partner Ann McCauley and newly recruited technical manager Jeff Dawson. For an appointment at the show please contact Sue Ellis by mail on: sue@logic-system.co.uk
