Ethos VA in Beirut Music Hall
The Music Hall in Lebanese capital Beirut is one of the key live music venues in the Middle East. Its blend of sofa抯, quality food and diversity of music, delivered in short sharp bursts, with up to ten acts per night stands it apart from anything known in the UK and places it as a Lebanese institution. Where in the world could an Iraqi lead singer front a Cuban backing band, to be followed by the Yugoslavian gypsy brass band and then Lebanese stars the Chehade Brothers, interspersed with disco from Turkish stars Pink Martini. The brain child of the Eleferiades Brothers it is unique and not surprisingly packed to the rafters every night.
The venue has recently benefited from a new Logic Ethos VA sound system. Specified by Logic抯 Middle East agent Tony Daoud of local company Less dB the club has benefited from a drop of six Ethos VA per side, supported by two Nd315 and two Nd218 per side. The system is powered by Logic LS series amplifiers with DP2140 controllers providing the DSP.
The owners are that delighted with the system that a second phase of upgrade has been approved with Ethos CA side fills and FOH fills about to be installed. The existing L Acoustics wedges will also be replaced with a full LM20 bi-amp monitor system.
